Six of Wands Tarot Card Meaning

You have been successful in what you set out to accomplish. You may find yourself being publicly recognized for this success. You may be feeling humbled by the knowledge that you couldn’t have succeeded without the help and support of those around you.

The Six of Wands urges you to be proud of what you have accomplished. It also speaks to the confidence that you may have going forward. Success can breed more success, if you don’t let it go to your head. You find that you enjoyed working towards your success.

Your success may have led to some sort of gain. This gain may have come through a love affair (i.e. marriage into a rich family). Or it could come after a period of uncertainty or competition. This gain may be unexpected, but not unappreciated.

Six of Wands Reversed Tarot Card Meaning

The Six of Wands reversed suggests that you have achieved success, but it is not something that you want to share. This is something that you want to keep to yourself right now. You might not feel the confidence to share your success with others at this moment. What is keeping your confidence down?

If you have decided to share your success with others, the success and celebration may have gone to your head. The ego thrives when others recognize your success. Make sure you are keeping your ego in check at this time. Are you being rude or prideful towards others?

In contrast, you may have achieve success, but it was not received well by others. Instead of happiness and celebration, you may have received no feedback, or worse, punishment. You may be feeling like your reputation has taken a hit from how the success was received and this is affecting your self-confidence.

You may also be suffering a loss through a love affair (i.e. divorce or separation). This can lead to monetary losses, which can affect how you view yourself.

When reversed, the Six of Wands can also mean that you did not achieve your goal. You may have fallen short of a deadline or something prevented your success.
